Marketa began dancing and performing at a young age and after experimenting with various styles she was mainly focused on contemporary dance until later on when she discovered the art of Capoeira. Since then capoeira has turned for her into a way of life and it is also where she was introduced to Brazilian Samba under the direction of her mestre, Ponciano Almeida (Mestre Poncianinho).  She then travelled to Brazil where she strengthened her knowledge and technique and on her return started performing Samba in London.

After a period of perfroming samba actively, Marketa decided to go in a different direction and dance for a company. Over the next few years she performed and taught various Samba courses and classes for DanceMyWay Latin Dance Company, as well as choreographed for their Gala performance.

Currently Marketa is a dancer for Guarini Dance Company, fronted by Ponciano Almeida, where she has found a solid base furthering her training and is given the opportunity to perform innovative contemporary choreography that continually inspires her as a dancer.

She loves to teach dance and sees the joy and confidence Brazilian Samba can bring to people. She is passionate about introducing complete beginners to this wonderful dance, helping them loose their inhibitions and bring out their inner carnival queen.

“Samba is all about the feeling, when you are in the moment and you feel, really feel the music your body will follow effortlessly.”

Aneta has trained intensively and developed as a samba dancer with the professional Brazilian dance group Brasil Show and in the mecca of samba Rio de Janeiro, where she used to live before coming to London to do her University studies.

Since she has moved to London, Aneta has become one of the samba dancers at the famous London School of Samba and is also a member of the professional dance troupe Samba Shows.

Despite the fact that life has now made London her main residence, her passion about Barazilian Samba makes her regularly go back to Rio to keep up-to-date with the latest trends on the Brazilian dance scene.

Aneta is experienced in teaching and performing Brazilian samba and other Brazilian dances (Samba de Gafieira, Brazilian Zouk, Forro). She loves bringing fun into the class and getting the body working out whilst improving posture, stamina and overall fitness levels.

"The Brazilian Samba classes help you not only to keep fit but also to work out whilst you are having fun moving your body to the beat of the music. You will not believe the amount of confidence and self-esteem boost that dancing samba is going to bring you!".
